We are a leading common law chambers offering a breadth of expertise across specialist practice areas in Civil, Criminal and Family law.
Our aim is to meet the needs and expectations of clients in every respect. We are a large set, and have members at all levels of seniority including 5 Queen's Counsel.
York Chambers is able to offer first class conference facilities at each of our twin centres. We recognise the importance which solicitor clients place on such aspects of chambers service, and are committed to the highest standards of presentation. Disabled access is provided. Video-Conferencing is available from our Newcastle office.
We are proud to have obtained a Quality Mark accreditation from the Legal Services Commission and we are fully committed to maintaining the standards we achieved during that process.
Our specialist clerks are trained to assist with this standard and are able to advise on appropriate Counsel, availability and level of fees.
Members of York Chambers regulary provide seminars in many areas of practice. We are CPD accredited by the Law Society. In addition a number of members of Chambers are licensed by the Bar Council to accept work under the Direct Public Access Rules.
